Organic Guatemalan French Roast Coffee, 5lb whole bean

After the coffee leaf rust fungus rampaged across Central America in the 2010s we saw our Guatemalan producer partners jump into action. Project funds were used to set up testing plots for new coffee varieties and to monitor, over the course of multiple harvests, how each plant behaves in terms of production volume, disease resistance, and cup quality. Todd Caspersen, our director of purchasing and production, notes that this level of scientific research is something that you don’t see very often in farmer co-operatives, and we’ve been really excited about the results.
