Our cocoa can dates are a best by date, rather than expiration dates, meaning we recommend consuming before this date for the best experience. Consuming beyond the best by date could have a decrease in quality and eventually become unsafe to consume; therefore we can't guarantee anything beyond those dates, and it is up to the discretion of the customer. We would recommend the Dark Hot Chocolate over the Hot Cocoa for long term storage (at your discretion), because the Hot Cocoa contains milk powder, which could change in flavor/become less shelf stable more quickly than the Dark Hot.
