At our Massachusetts HQ, our team batch-roasts coffee daily under a 1,418 panel solar array, bringing out the best flavors of each harvest. At the lighter end of the roast spectrum, we accentuate the unique fruity and floral notes within the beans. As the roast length increases, the natural sugars in the coffee beans caramelize and darken to elicit a richer body. Our darkest roasts fully express the beans’ natural oils, yielding subtle smokiness and flavors akin to dark chocolate. At every level, our expert team creates a smooth, clean, and balanced cup with reliable consistency from batch to batch.

"Have been using a different coffee brand for years and looking for tasty other options. Have also used/enjoyed other Equal Exchange products. BOP was on sale at our local CO-OP and took chance to try. The scent was really nice. As this is my first try and we have a new burr grinder, I used 1/2 C beans, ground for drip, and 12 C filtered water (Cuisinart carafe). Really nice flavor. Do agree it seemed a little 'thin,' as others noted though I also attribute to needing to adjust proportions to find the best taste for us. It is a medium roast so need to take that into account. Will be playing around to find that best balance and would recommend overall."
