Investing in regenerative agriculture

Human life on earth depends on healthy soil, abundant with nutrients and living microorganisms. Cooperatives like Manos Campesinas in Guatemala prioritize regenerative practices like building organic fertilizer production centers in the community, so farmers can use these resources to “feed” their land with the nutrients the soil needs, rather than depleting the soil through conventional farming methods. The co-op is also investing in farmer-to-farmer training programs, so neighbors can teach and learn regenerative practices from each other.

At our Massachusetts HQ, our team batch-roasts coffee daily under a 1,418 panel solar array, bringing out the best flavors of each harvest. At the lighter end of the roast spectrum, we accentuate the unique fruity and floral notes within the beans. As the roast length increases, the natural sugars in the coffee beans caramelize and darken to elicit a richer body. Our darkest roasts fully express the beans’ natural oils, yielding subtle smokiness and flavors akin to dark chocolate. At every level, our expert team creates a smooth, clean, and balanced cup with reliable consistency from batch to batch.
